I'm Nicole Klawitter, a registered dietitian helping adults and adolescents build a healthier, more joyful relationship with food — through science, compassion, and zero deprivation.
With over 15 years of clinical experience, I've dedicated my career to helping people heal their relationship with food. I earned my BS in Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition Services from San Francisco State University (2009) and completed my dietetic internship in 2011. During my time at SFSU, I spent a year abroad at the University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa — taking nutrition courses and learning from the incredible local community.
I spent over a decade at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center — leading the adult eating disorder program (inpatient, PHP & IOP) from 2013 to 2020, then serving as the adolescent eating disorder dietitian through 2024. Since 2021, I've been an outpatient clinical dietitian at Kaiser Permanente Psychiatry, specializing in eating disorders. I've also maintained my private practice through Evolve Wellness Group for nearly 10 years.
As a former college athlete and competitive volleyball player, I understand firsthand the complex interplay of food, body, and performance. My approach integrates Health at Every Size (HAES), motivational interviewing, and Family-Based Treatment (FBT) — always grounded in compassion and evidence-based science.
Every person's needs are different. I offer a range of services designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Get in Touch →My work is grounded in a non-diet, evidence-based philosophy — helping you move from restriction and guilt to nourishment, enjoyment, and peace.
Your story matters. Using motivational interviewing, I begin by understanding your unique history, challenges, and goals — creating a safe, judgment-free space to be heard.
Grounded in Health at Every Size (HAES) and evidence-based science, I replace confusion and guilt with clarity and confidence — so you understand what your body truly needs.
Together we build practical, sustainable habits — including Family-Based Treatment for adolescents — turning nourishment into something you enjoy, not something you fight.
Nicole is one of the warmest, most compassionate people I have ever met. Not only is she an incredible dietitian, she probably singlehandedly helped me recover by showing me facts and science and allowing me to feel compassion for myself.
I feel motivated for life after every single one of our sessions. Nicole has a special way of empowering others by showing effortless compassion and patience.
